Personal Project #1: Mobile Photography
what is Mobile Photography?
Mobile photography, the name gives you a hint of what it is all about , mobile photography is a phrase for taking pictures with an electronic devise which is NOT a camera. A phone for example all the apps and things you can get on your photo for photography you can make a spectacular image while you are on the go of course not as good as you would with a camera.
Advantages about mobile photography.-It is always with you so at anytime you can take a photo.
-You do not have to carry round a big camera and the different lenses. -The different verity types of apps you can get on your phone to make the picture look better also to edit it. -You can share you photo with friends instantly if you have internet on your phone. |
|
Disadvantages about moblie photography.-The camera on a phone will not be as good at a proper camera.
-You have to be very still to get your phone camera into focus. -you do not have all the different setting as you do on a camera example night mode , party mode, fireworks ect ... |
This is Benedicte GuillonBenedicate Guillon is a French iPhoneographer living in Paris. She started taking photos with her iPhone at the end of 2009.Her favourite app at that time was Hipstamatic, she use d it a lot for her metropolitains series which is a collection of subway portraits. Then she started to experiment street candid portraits, and now, she likes capturing spaces and urban atmospheres.
Why I chose Benedicate Guillon ?I choose Benedicte Guillon because she is a inspiration to me and million of other up come photographers. I like her photography because it is unique and different, she takes pictures of the most unusual things ,photos that people would not think of taking. Benedicate Guillon looks and takes photos of everyday life, taking picture of people and objects when they not posing or not arranged for the camera.

Exhibitions & ResponseOn the 28th November I went on a trip with my photography class we visited Somerset House to see two exhibitions cartier-Bresson:A Question of colour and Tim Walker:Story Teller. Both exhibitions are spectral and very different but also similar in ways.Tim Walkers photography is based on fashion but taking pictures of fashion in a different and unusual way, he creates narrative sequences using: huge props ,creative staging, models and very expensive clothes. Tim Walker recreates stories and tells the story using photography (It is very imaginative). To creat the backround of his photos he need a large team of assistents to help him make the props and creat the backround. The exhibition was well presented as the props Tim Walker used in his photography were scattered around in all the different rooms such as the;snail, the huge doll and the swan boat, they were creatively displaed (the snail was on the wall as if it was really moving and crawling up the wall). Also he had some writting on the wall of his own to tell people why and what he was thinking about at that time also what his photograohy makes him fell, so the people who go and see his work see his work in his persectifve.

My best photo :)Personally I think this is one of the best photos I took on our photography trip. I think this is one of my best photos becuase everything is alined and its the full picture not just half or just one bit. Also the texture and light is different as some bite are dark some bite are light. My personal opinion it just looks lovely.
|
My worse photo :(This is the worst photo I took as it is completely out of forcuse and of nothing interesting. To make it better I think I could of first got in in focus and to get more in the picture not just one foot.

Mobile Photography. These are pictures I have taken with a mobile devise (I phone). If you have not already notice my theme is black and white, I chose this theme as it makes everything look quit cosy and some times give that old effect. I liked doing this as I was free to take photos of what ever I wanted.
|
Mobile Photography 2This is my second batch of mobile photos this theme is patterned if you did not realise. I think I one quit well but i think I need to work on getting my pictures straight because some of then are at a slight angle , also to try and keep still as some are out of focus as well.
